Muse of the Day: Cindy Bruna

Fashion Week means a lot of things for the fashion community, but for me it means trend analysis, all day everyday for the next month, and I guess it all comes down to the way my brain works.

I don't just see shows as designs I might want to own. I spot items that I know will be all over every street style blog for the next year, I see fashion trends that will shape the creative direction for fashion publications for the next season and what I enjoy, is spotting the new hot young models that will be gracing covers and fronting campiagns.

One of these Fashion Week Finds is French model Cindy Bruna who this season walked for Balmain, Antonio Berardi and more.

Iggy Azalea: A Freak Amongst Sheep

What do you get when you cross an Australian, Hip Hop, Modelling and a killer face? Well you certainly don't get Lil Kim.

Iggy Azalea is the latest signing for T.I's record label, Grand Hustle, and although I haven't yet taken the time out to listen to her mixtape, she has already held my attention for longer than fashion muse Santigold ever did. Taking a good hard look at Iggy, you wouldn't pin her as a Hip Hop artist though, maybe another pop-fame-chaser? Her look feels exotic and the size of her rear end is bound to become legendary in the industry in no time. This Wilhelmina model is set to dominate, peaking at the best possible time thanks to the rise of Hip Hop in fashion.

Edgy, she most definitely is. I foresee a great many campaigns coming her way, and with a song titled PU$$Y, I'm quite certain she'll have no problem keeping her male fans closer than the other Azealia ever has.

The Miss Dior Legacy; Actors Only

What makes the Dior Woman? Charm? An unaffected sense of self? Or an acting accolade? It seems that the Dior Women are mostly of acting stock (with Miss Moss being the stark exception) which brings me to the conclusion that the Dior Woman is
  • a celeb, hounded by the paparazzi
  • pulls off the cat-eye VERY WELL
  • and almost always has an edge which sets her apart from the rest of the Hollywood "I've-Got-An-Oscar" Kitties

The question is not whether Miss-Dior-To-Be Jennifer Lawrence has the acting credibility to be graced with the Dior brand, but whether she'll be able to live up to the name of the Dior Woman. Looking at the more memorable Dior girls, she's got tall heels to stand on.

Mila Kunis: The Funny Girl Next Door Who Looks Like A Super-Spy

CTF: That 70s Show; Forgetting Sarah Marshall; Friends With Benefits, Black Swan

Trend: Mila is a sharp tongued woman, unashamedly funny and yet still sends out a strong feminine image which is a clear component of what makes a Dior Woman.

Marion Cotillard: AKA Lady Dior

Reign: Fall 2011

CTF: The Dark Knight Rises,

Trend: Marion brings a dark beauty to the Dior stage and her look magnifies the intrigue and mystery a Dior Woman often possesses. Marion falls into an elite category taking on the role of Miss Dior as well as Lady Dior, a feat of note.
