Menswear Spring 2015 Review: Diesel Black Gold

It's all feeling very British post-punk on the Diesel Black Gold runway, with the models rocking bangs and skinny pants, oozing a sense of rebellious formal wear. 

Here's what I love about the collection: It can be easily adapted to any market, with luxe sport jackets hitting the Jozi Shore mark, parkas for the bearded, Sgt Pepper types and trenches and blazers making an appearance for formal wear. 

And that's the craziest part of this collection, the fact that while all the surface elements scream punk and edge, there are some quality formal pieces just tucked away between the melange and leather.

Pre Fall 2013: The Trends

If you thought that prints would fizzle out after Summer, you'd be terribly mistaken. The Pre Fall runways and lookbooks were heavily laden with prints in very specific categories.

Every season we are slapped in the face with what our texture choices for the season should be and for Spring 2013, coarse, organic feels were the dish of the day. This season though, garments are looking cozy, with chunky knits making a comeback and leather becoming more than just something to wear as a jacket.

There isn't an item of clothing which showcases a woman's slim ankles (or alternatively, creates the illusion of one) than cropped pants. Luckily for us all, cropped pants are the biggest Pre Fall trend.
